Why Is Certification Important?

This week I want to emphasize to all of our upcoming Roseville Medical and Dental professionals, the importance of certification.  Becoming certified is sometimes forgotten after graduates finish classes, enjoy externships and pickup that diploma that they’ve worked so hard for.  It is important to continue your journey while information is still fresh and take a certification exam.  Your diploma is what qualifies you as a graduate to take a certification exam.

Why is it important to take a national certification exam?

“Certification translates to an advantage in the work place. Many employers now require certification because they know that individuals who are certified are commited to their profession and to quality patient care. Certified individuals also tend to enjoy higher wages and greater promotional opportunities. So get certified today!”

Make sure to apply to take your certification exam no less than 9 weeks before the scheduled exam date on your 5th week of externship.  Give yourself an extra edge in the job search process.

I have scheduled 2 exam review dates prior to each certification date to help you refresh your knowledge and prepare for your exam.

Upcoming exam dates:
May 6th at 12:45pm, June 17th, July 29th

Review dates:
April 28th at 1:30pm and May 5th at 1:30pm

We have also put together a custom online review site (snapshot above) where you can test your knowledge and practice for your exam.  This will be made available to everyone attending the first review session. If you are unable to make the review session or want to start using this resource earlier, send me an e-mail requesting access. Please include your name, e-mail, telephone number and program.

If you sign up for an exam and are not able to attend for any reason, make sure to notify me at least 2 weeks before the scheduled exam date so that you will not be charged a fee.

I wish you good luck and great success!
