Saturday's Open House Brought Miles of Smiles

This Saturday marked a very special day at the Roseville campus.  As you may be aware, the Easter Bunny paid a visit and brought a tremendous amount of Easter cheer to students and staff alike.  In fact, over 200 people were estimated to be in attendance last Saturday – quite a number for a Saturday at school!

The day’s activities were as numerous as the colors of the eggs hidden around the campus.  With the Easter Bunny as the main event, students and their children enjoyed face painting, arts and crafts projects (many of which were given to the Easter Bunny as tokens of love and appreciation), egg races, scavenger hunts, and, nobody could forget the tower of cupcakes provided by Just Baked of Royal Oak.

This event, like many others to come, was offered as an opportunity for students to enjoy family-friendly, inexpensive recreational events in which they could all engage with the school, staff, and faculty.  Honestly, it was just nice to see everyone in a social setting where we weren’t talking about school!

A special thanks to Thomas Holman of the financial aid department for a stellar performance as the Easter Bunny.  His energy level was unparalleled, bringing joy to so many children - and terror to others, if I may add.  As it turns out not all children adore a man in a rabbit costume.  Who would have thought?  But, despite some terrified faces and tears, Mr. Holman was a trooper and was photographed with roughly 100 children over the course of two hours.

Additionally, special thanks to Christi Wilshaw, Dawn Pauli, and Sharon Eifert for a tremendously planned event.  Kudos to you all!
