Congratulations Dorsey Graduates!

On Friday April 15, 2011 Dorsey Schools celebrated their Spring Graduation at the Masonic Temple.  It was the largest and most exciting graduation we’ve ever held!   Both the Roseville and Waterford – Pontiac Culinary Academies were represented along with six other Dorsey campuses.
Students came to celebrate their accomplishments in front of friends and family and it was moving to see the caring of their families and the joy in each of the students when seeing their teachers and staff.  They stood proud and walked across the stage to be honored and recognized for reaching a very large goal in their lives – Graduation!  The pride that radiated from students as well as families was evident in the rousing applause as each campus was called to walk and be recognized.
Ms. Gena Harris, Executive Director of the Coalition on Temporary Housing, was the guest speaker for our spring ceremony and her words rang a true and heartfelt note in all those present.  Ms. Harris spoke to Dorsey students to let them know that this was just the first of many more accomplishments as long as they believed in themselves.
Congratulations Dorsey Graduates!  Walk proud and know that you are at the beginning of a new journey. With the development of your new skills, new pride in yourself and the confidence you now have to succeed, anything is possible!
