Weekly News and Motivation From Student Services

Congratulations, week six has arrived! You have succeeded, another module almost completed. For those who just started in the Spring A module, this is the first module on the way to success and a new career for you and your family.  I know you will be working hard this week to review and study for quizzes and final exams.  I do hope that you have followed and used the ideas for time management, study skills and test taking as well as test anxiety that the Admissions team made available to you at your Meet and Greet. If you would like a copy of the material please stop by my office in Building C—the candy dish is always full as well.  Remember that you should never view studying as a chore but as another opportunity to learn. Good Luck! J

Dorsey goes “Green”
As part of the Roseville campus efforts to help our planet, we will be recycling paper from the classrooms.  We have for some time been recycling paper in all office areas.  Coming soon, in each classroom, you will see a “BLUE” recycle container.  Please put all acceptable paper in this container for recycling.  If you want to help the planet in another way - instead of putting your plastic water bottles and pop bottles in the trash why not take them to your local city’s recycling bins if you do not have curb side pick-up.  The best way to cut down and help the planet is to follow the reduce, reuse, recycle motto whenever possible.  Check out the internet for more go green ideas and some very cool ways to reuse items.

Thoughts for Success
Remember that your goals will give you a sense of direction and purpose, which will help the process of change to be a bit easier.
Understand that to be successful in making and keeping your goals, you must first put in the effort.  There are no free rides when it comes to making changes in yourself or in your life.
Make sure that your dreams stretch your talents and imagination.
Create within yourself a deep, heartfelt desire to change in the direction of your goals, dreams and passions. Most importantly, keep in mind that the purpose of change is to create a brighter future for you and your family.
Good luck with your exams and see you Monday for the Spring B module.  Many exciting things are coming, so be sure to be here!
